Job summary

The Senior Tableau Engineer at Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. designs, develops, and maintains Tableau dashboards and BI solutions to enable data-driven decisions across the organization.

This hands-on role partners with analytics, data engineering, and business stakeholders to turn trusted data into intuitive, performant insights. You will lead dashboard design standards, optimize data models, and mentor teammates in Tableau best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in BI or data visualization, with at least 3 years hands-on Tableau experience in an enterprise environment.
• Advanced proficiency with Tableau Desktop, Server/Cloud, and Tableau Prep.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Snowflake or a similar cloud data platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports for operational, tactical, and strategic decision-making.
• Partner with analytics, data engineering, and stakeholders to translate business questions into visual solutions.
• Maintain semantic layers, calculated fields, and data sources for consistent definitions.
• Optimize performance via data modeling, queries, and caching.
• Support Tableau Server/Cloud publishing, permissions, and production troubleshooting.
• Ensure governance, data quality, and security across BI solutions.
• Document dashboards, data sources, and calculations for end users.
• Collaborate across teams to influence reporting standards and operating models.
