Job summary

Abacus is seeking a Tableau Administrator/Developer to join the Information Technology Division of the Department of Health and Human Services. The role interfaces with business stakeholders to deliver BI solutions, manage Tableau Server, and lead a centralized Tableau COE with training and governance.

The position emphasizes hybrid work, data modeling, and dashboard/report development, requiring strong communication and SQL skills to translate requirements into Tableau solutions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in Business Intelligence software development and maintenance with at least 2 years of Tableau experience.
  • 1-3 years of relevant Tableau Server administration experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Expert knowledge of Tableau development, practices, techniques, and standards.
  • Familiarity with data management, SQL, SAAS, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), problem-solving abilities, and strength in understanding and analyzing requirements to deliver solutions within the Tableau platform.

Responsibilities

  • Ongoing configuration, maintenance and support of the Tableau server product.
  • Provide a centralized Center of Excellence in Tableau use, including internal user group care and staff training.
  • Consult on content development and collaborate with key business stakeholders to deliver Tableau-based solutions.
