The Table Games Assistant Shift Manager reports to the Table Games Shift Manager and oversees shift operations of the casino, stepping in for or assisting department heads as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Table Games Shift Manager in ensuring successful department performance.
- Supervise Pit Managers, Floor Supervisors, Dealers, and Pit Clerks.
- Support other departments and staff to ensure the success of table games and the overall company.
- Oversee daily table games operations in the absence of the Shift Manager.
- Monitor customer play for cheating, scams, and suspicious behavior; track rated players.
- Review staffing, delegate responsibilities, and develop staff through hiring, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Manage departmental budget, goals, and financial data.
- Review and adjust table game activities and promotional status.
- Collaborate with departmental leaders and ensure excellent customer service and employee relations.
- Ensure safety and security for guests and staff, managing loss prevention programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and operational data.
- Strong management, communication, public relations, and customer service skills.
- Willingness to take overall responsibility for department performance.
- Experience managing budgets and staff effectively.
- Knowledge of gaming regulations, theft techniques, and casino operations.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a high-energy environment.
- Physical ability to move throughout the casino environment, including stairs and extended hours.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of casino management experience with a large staff, or equivalent.
- Four-year degree in a related field or comparable work experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary gaming licenses.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move quickly within a large casino environment.
- Sitting 25%, walking 60%, standing 15%.
- Keyboarding 25% and ability to use stairs and elevators.
- Availability for extended hours, including nights and weekends.
