Job summary

Campbell Soup Company is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair mechanical equipment on high-speed production lines. You will follow safety procedures, perform preventive maintenance, and support a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting pumps, gearboxes, bearings, pulleys, belts and clutches; stopping and restarting equipment after repairs; and keeping a clean, orderly work area with proper tool and part handling.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED or an Associate Degree in Industrial Engineering or Electronic Technology
• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience, or 5+ years in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

• Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Inspects, disassembles, repairs, and reassembles mechanical equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, bearings, pulleys, belts/chains, and clutches.
• Stops machinery, locks out, troubleshoots high-speed production problems, repairs, and restarts equipment to test repairs.
• Maintains an orderly work area and sorts/replaces tools and parts; sends usable parts to vendors for repair.
• Attends weekly safety training, quality issues, and company update meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned as necessary.

Primary Responsibilities

• Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following all safety procedures, JSAs, MSDS, LOTO, and wearing PPE including approved slip-resistant shoes, safety glasses, hairnets, earplugs, and chemical PPE.
• Inspects, adjusts, disassembles, repairs, reassembles mechanical equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, bearings, pulleys, belt/chain drives, and clutches using hand and power tools, gear pullers, and chain hoists, changing gear sprockets to adjust speed.
• Stops machinery, locks out, troubleshoots high-speed production problems, repairs, and re-starts equipment to test repair.
• Maintains an orderly work area throughout shift following 5-S and replacing tools when finished and discarding unusable parts and other trash and boxing up usable parts such as pumps and motors to send to vendors for repair.
• Attends weekly shift meetings for required safety training, quality issues, and company updates.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma, or GED, Associate Degree in Industrial Engineering or Electronic Technology Associate Degree in Industrial Engineering or Electronic Technology and a minimum of 2 years of Industrial Maintenance Experience, or 5 or more years of Industrial Maintenance experience in lieu of a degree.
• Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
• Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
