Job summary

Arlington Public Schools seeks a T26/27 Special Education Teacher Interlude at Wakefield High School in Arlington, VA for SY27. You will implement instructional programs, monitor student progress, and collaborate with teachers, administrators and families to support student success.

Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure; dual endorsement in ESL or Special Education is preferred but not required. This on-site role follows the 2026-27 salary schedule and requires active participation in

This position is a 1.0 FTE located at Wakefield High School for SY27.

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
• Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is
  preferred but not required.

Experience

• Teaching experience in the above mentioned areas.
• Knowledge of best instructional practices.
• Ability to integrate technology.
• Experience in educational and instructional leadership
