Job Description Summary
The Engineering Controllership Analyst will be a key team member of the Technology & Operations (T&O) controllership team, supporting GE Aerospace’s closing and reporting processes, including activities for an accelerated and simplified monthly close to deliver accurate, timely and GAAP-compliant financial information for use by internal and external stakeholders. The selected candidate will work closely with the T&O Finance teams to provide operational accounting guidance, maintain financial and operational internal controls, and to complete financial closing and reporting activities. In addition to these responsibilities, the candidate will support accounting process simplification and other strategic controllership and T&O initiatives.
Job Description
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Provides timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis for use within and outside of the T&O organization.
Prepares monthly and quarterly journal entries and support preparation of monthly financial statement review files, specifically consolidating and providing commentary for the Engineering balance sheets.
Prepares account reconciliations in accordance with GE Aerospace account reconciliation standards.
Manages the reporting of key financial statement line items and operations such as Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) and Supplier Advances.
Provides operational accounting support to Engineering sites and T&O stakeholders.
Supports controllership reviews of supplier agreements to support compliance with accounting policy.
Ensures internal controls over financial reporting are designed and operating effectively in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX). Provide data and analyses requested by SOX and audit teams.
Drives consistent adherence to US GAAP, GE GAP, Government Accounting rules and GE Aerospace SOPs across the Technology & Operations, consulting with technical experts and management as needed.
Supports adoption of FLIGHT DECK through consistent application of Lean principles and support of projects.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university or college
3-5 years of experience in accounting
Desired Characteristics
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered account (CA) or MBA
Excellent teamwork skills; collaborative approach with peers and team members
Strong analytical and organizational ability
Strong oral and written communication skills

The base pay range for this position is $95,900 - 120,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on 8/19/25.
