Summary
The Retail Sales Manager (RSM) oversees store operations, responsibilities, and sales performance.
Responsibilities
Top Priorities
- Drive store sales; mentor, motivate, and hold Mobile Experts accountable to meet or exceed targets
- Meet or exceed all monthly performance quotas and expectations
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and best practices
- Maintain compliance with all regulations and policies; ensure team accountability
- Communicate enthusiastically via various channels (Slack, email, in-person)
- Maintain excellent relationships with T-Mobile and uphold MobileOne’s reputation
Customer Service
- Engage with every customer and contribute to sales
- Ensure top-tier customer service; monitor and develop Mobile Experts
- Handle escalations promptly; train team in de-escalation; keep customers informed
- Read HUB feed and notifications before customer interactions
- Maintain good relationships with landlords and neighbors
Operations
- Adhere to labor budgets; create and issue schedules in advance
- Communicate daily updates via Slack
- Manage inventory and cash procedures; prevent loss
- Respond to surveys and reviews timely
- Utilize technology and reporting tools effectively
- Track inventory and complete required paperwork and audits
- Ensure store cleanliness and equipment functionality
Employee Relations
- Eliminate time/management violations; address employee issues appropriately
Team Development and Accountability
- Spend 80-85% of shift on the sales floor
- Ensure training completion and compliance
- Attend meetings and deliver training
- Follow up with customers and team members regularly
- Manage staffing needs based on trends and seasonality
- Conduct regular performance check-ins and host monthly meetings
Onboarding
- Coordinate training schedules for new hires; ensure milestones are met within specified timelines
- Manage ASM hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training to meet company standards
Knowledge and Skills
- Understanding of T-Mobile products, policies, and systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, G-suite, and store-specific tools
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to train and adapt to team learning styles
- Ability to provide constructive feedback
- Knowledge of sales and store operations
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Pass background checks
Physical Demands
- Availability during store hours and for emergencies
- Ability to stand, move, travel, and work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to inventory, stock, and communicate effectively
Pay and Benefits
Hourly wage: $19.00 - $41.70, plus potential bonuses.
