Job summary

NEI Electric Power Engineering, Inc. is seeking a mid-level Transmission & Distribution Designer for the Oil & Gas group.

You will perform detailed electrical power and mechanical design under the supervision of a Professional Engineer and support client projects to deliver quality results on time and within budget. You will create one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, conduit routing, grounding design, equipment selections, and wiring diagrams while contributing to project

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting, Design, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering drafting and design experience.
• Ability to interpret basic one-line/three-line diagrams and schematics.
• Proficiency with PLSCADD and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with NEC, NESC, and RUS codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs detailed design and draws for electrical power and mechanical systems including one-line diagrams, schematics, and cable sizing.
• Provides conceptual and high-level designs during bidding with limited information.
• Checks work of designers, drafters, and field service personnel for quality and accuracy.
• Contributes to CAD & PLSCADD standards and QA/QC processes.
• Maintains client communication and supports external standards development.
