Job summary

The California State University, Office of the Chancellor, invites applications for the position of Director, Systemwide Risk Management. This role supports the Senior Director in managing day-to-day risk operations with a focus on Environmental Health and Safety and insurance programs for the CSU system.

The incumbent will coordinate with CSURMA, AORMA, and campuses to communicate risk programs, develop resources, and provide proactive services while overseeing EHS initiatives and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, 5+ years of risk management experience.
• ARM designation or similar preferred.
• Experience with EHS and insurance programs; ability to liaise with CSURMA/AORMA.

Responsibilities

• Represent CSURMA at underwriters’ meetings and assist renewal marketing.
• Serve as SRM/CSURMA consultant and liaison with AORMA members.
• Develop campus data and risk management resources and visit campuses regularly.
• Coordinate faculty training and CSURMA/SRM program orientation and outreach.
• Collaborate with auditors and address audit findings.
• Oversee EHS program and supervise related staff.
• Lead systemwide committees and coordinate WERCS affinity groups.
