Job summary

Cullerton Group in Mossville, IL is seeking a Systems Engineer 3 to support system integration and validation for advanced safety, automation, and autonomous machine technologies in a long-term role on site.

The role focuses on designing and supporting data collection and sensor/hardware integration, performing verification and validation tests, and collaborating with global engineering teams; standard first shift, 40 hours/week, with potential overtime and occasional travel, and comprehensive

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics, mechanical, computer engineering or related field.
2–5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
Strong networking and systems design skills.
Experience planning and executing system test and validation activities.
Experience with CAN tools and Linux OS.
Hands-on calibration/validation of camera, radar, and LiDAR.
Experience with Python scripting and test automation.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and support machine-based data collection systems and connectivity solutions across multiple equipment and operating environments.
Install, calibrate, validate, and troubleshoot camera, radar, LiDAR, GPS, and data acquisition hardware.
Perform system integration, verification, validation, and field testing for advanced safety and autonomous technologies.
Diagnose hardware, software, networking, and machine-integration issues and perform root-cause analysis.
Develop test procedures, validation plans, automation/simulation tools, engineering documentation, and technical reports while collaborating with global engineering teams.
