Job summary

AMD is seeking an experienced Systems Test and Validation Engineer to support Data Center GPU products for AI/ML/HPC. You will craft manufacturing test strategies, diagnose complex issues, and develop automation to enable high-volume production, collaborating across hardware, software, and manufacturing teams to improve yield and reliability.

The role requires hands-on debugging of data center hardware/software, strong Linux and scripting skills, and leadership to drive continuous improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
• Hands-on systems test and validation experience with data center hardware/software.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills across hardware and software layers.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing test strategies for new products and features.
• Define scalable board- and system-level hardware test methodologies.
• Lead system bring-up and debug of complex hardware, firmware, software, and manufacturing issues.
• Develop automated diagnostic generation and validation infrastructure using Python.
• Review designs for Design for Testability and drive improvements with cross-functional teams.
• Influence test coverage, yield, quality, and production efficiency across sites.
• Identify and lead initiatives to reduce manufacturing cost and improve reliability.
• Explore new test technologies and tools for manufacturing environments.
• Support manufacturing partners during NPI, ramp, and sustaining phases.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and coordinate across distributed teams.
