Systems Test Lab Technician

Job Summary: Our client in Torrance, CA is seeking a Systems Test Lab Technician for a contract position.

What You Will Do:

1. Identify and set up test equipment for various functional system tests.
2. Lead, implement, set up, and utilize standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, power supplies, and digital multimeters.
3. Troubleshoot, determine root causes, and document electronic functional failures.
4. Perform wire harness assembly, crimping, pinning, soldering, and de-soldering.
5. Read electrical schematics, drawings, and use manufacturers' product data sheets.
6. Fabricate special test equipment supporting development and validation testing of electronic components.
7. Use MS Word and Excel proficiently.
8. Move and lift heavy boxes and fixtures safely.

What You Will Need:

1. Basic knowledge of low and high voltage safety protocols.
2. Experience with electronic test equipment.
3. Ability to lift heavy objects.
4. Knowledge of mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
5. Technical degree or certification in electronics or related field.
6. At least 3 years of electronics technician experience.
7. Experience with power tools, fabricating test equipment, soldering, and rework.
8. Experience with electrical testing and equipment such as volt meters and CAN diagnostics.
9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexible hours.
11. Hands-on approach and proactive problem-solving skills.
12. Ability to navigate ambiguity.
13. Salary range: $41,000 - $59,000 annually.
