Job summary

Kidde Global Solutions seeks a Systems Test Engineer in Bradenton, FL to lead integration and validation testing across hardware, firmware and software. You will review design tests, define scopes and build automation tools to ensure robust product performance.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, manage test projects and budgets, document results for acceptance, and mentor test technicians in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Systems Test Engineer in hardware, firmware & software design and testing environments.
• Strong documentation, verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Regulatory experience with UL/ULC, FM, CE and CPD preferred.
• Experience with large or networked systems test.

Responsibilities

• Represent Design Test Validation team throughout the new product development process.
• Define and develop Integration and Validation test scope, strategies and plans based on product requirements including software, hardware, communication, networking and regulatory needs.
• Manage Design Integration and Validation test projects including schedules, resources, test infrastructure, and risk management.
• Specify, design and develop test automation tools using high level programming languages and hardware.
• Review, approve and document test results to determine test acceptance.
• Develop project budgets and capital cost requirements.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions in response to validation, field and customer failures.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to test technicians.
