Job summary

RTX in Plano, TX is seeking a Systems Test Engineer II with experience in system integration to join a development team delivering a complex system of systems for the customer. This onsite role requires DoD Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

You will operate radar test equipment, support integration, verification and validation, and work closely with the test team and engineers to analyze issues and maintain a systems-level perspective.

Position Overview

Raytheon Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) is seeking a Systems Test Engineer II with experience in system integration. This role will be part of a development team responsible for delivering a complex system of systems to the customer. This is an onsite role located in Plano, TX. Role type: Onsite.

Eligibility and Security Clearance

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.


• Active and transferable U.S. government issued DoD Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.


• DoD Clearance: Top Secret.


• Security Clearance Status: Active and existing security clearance required on day 1.

Responsibilities

• Operate Radar test equipment and assist in system test execution ensuring the system meets specifications.


• Work closely with the team and leadership.


• Communicate daily with the test team as well as other engineers associated with test.


• Maintain a systems-level perspective while supporting integration, verification, and validation activities.


• Analyze system problems and communicate issues to the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).


• Minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience with system integration and troubleshooting.


• Flexibility to work 1st and 2nd shift to meet program requirements.


• Active and transferable U.S. government issued DoD Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.


• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred).


• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


• Knowledge of radar systems operation.


• Experience in scripting Linux or UNIX.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Compensation

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
