Job summary

Viking Group, Inc. is looking for a Systems Technician to assemble and machine metal products, especially sprinkler frames, in Hastings, Michigan. The technician will function within a cell environment, focusing on optimizing production through tasks such as operating CNC equipment, testing, and packaging products to meet high-quality standards.

The role includes handling materials, maintenance of machinery, and documentation of production processes. A Monday to Friday work schedule is offered, with shifts from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated assembly and CNC machining equipment according to supervisor's direction.
• Rotate throughout assembly and CNC machining process and assist each member of the cell when needed.
• Perform all aspects of the cell including maintenance to optimize and maintain optimum production.
• Handle and pull any materials necessary for the cell.
• Test sprinklers according to approved laboratory guidelines.
• Set up, adjust and qualify CNC equipment and perform all aspects.
• Inspect and package sprinklers to Viking quality standards.
• Complete all necessary documents for both the quality system and for production planning.
• Disassemble sprinklers and its components for salvage of parts.
• Identify scrap and salvage and record such for inventory purposes.
• Clean and maintain cell on a daily basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Systems Technician will assemble and machine metal products, such as sprinkler frames of all types, partially or completely. The technician will also perform testing of assembled sprinkler frames, including inspecting and packaging. The technician will work in a cell environment on the shop floor by performing the following duties.

Work Schedule: Monday‑Friday 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
