Job summary

Newfreedomaz in Phoenix, Arizona is looking for a Systems Support Tech I to provide first-level technical support for staff and manage internal systems support. About the Position – Systems Support Tech I

As a Systems Support Tech I, you are responsible for providing first-level technical support for staff and internal systems support for the company. You will assist in the daily operations of the IT department with a focus on top-tier professionalism and customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with first-level technical support for staff, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to computers, printers, mobile devices, and network connectivity as needed
  • Utilizing the IT ticketing system to track all technical and systems support requests, and claim, work, and close these tickets in a timely manner within the approved process
  • Help maintain the hybrid Active Directory/Azure environment, updating SharePoint as needed, creating or updating basic Power Automate flows, basic network troubleshooting, and terminating and running RJ45 cables
  • Support IT-related training initiatives and provide basic usage guidance to staff when needed
  • Performing additional duties as assigned to support our mission and operations
Work Environment
  • Work performed primarily in a professional office environment, with some flexibility for hybrid/remote work based on company and operational needs
  • Role requires occasional movement between program sites, facilities, and vendor locations
  • Work may involve being in server rooms, network closets, or other technical spaces that may have temperature or noise variations
  • Role routinely operates office and technology equipment, such as computers, monitors, phones, and other productivity tools
  • Work is typically performed in areas with standard lighting, temperature, and noise levels
Qualifications
Education

High School or better in General Studies or related field.

Experience Required
  • Strong communication, organizational, time-management, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative and effectiveness when working independently
  • Demonstrate the highest standards of integrity, discretion, and accountability in handling confidential and HIPAA-regulated data
  • Effectively demonstrates a process-oriented approach; strong attention to detail; a technical, logical thought process; and the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Proficient experience with ticketing systems and IT tools
  • Proficient experience with Windows desktops, printers, small-office routers, switches, and wireless access points
  • Proficient experience with M365 Admin tools, Azure, and Active Directory
  • 2 years of IT experience in a service desk-related role
Experience Preferred
  • Experience with VBA, PowerShell, firewall configuration
  • Experience and ability to crimp and run RJ45 cables
  • Experience facilitating IT training, comfortable speaking in front of groups
