Actalent in Houston, TX seeks a lead software engineer to define and implement real-time, safety-critical flight software architectures for autonomous aerospace vehicles. You will oversee the full software lifecycle from requirements through integration, verification, and release using HIL environments.

Requires expert C/C++ skills and extensive experience with RTOS and embedded systems for safety-critical applications.

Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in C/C++ and embedded systems for aerospace applications.
• Proven track record in designing safety-critical architectures and leading verification activities.
• Experience with RTOS, HIL and Agile project management within aerospace domains.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement real-time, safety-critical flight software architectures and oversee the full software lifecycle from requirements to release.
• Lead verification activities and ensure robust fault-tolerant software for flight control systems.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to validate designs in HIL environments and deliver mission-critical software.
