Job summary

DCS Corp seeks a Senior Acquisition Program Engineer - Systems Security for Eglin AFB to safeguard CPI and ensure robust cybersecurity across weapon systems.

You will coordinate with DoD stakeholders, apply RMF guidelines, and implement SCRM while protecting NIPRNET/SIPRNET/JWICS interconnections and encryption solutions, with a US citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance requirement.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
• Bachelor of Science degree in related discipline with 20 years of experience; OR Master of Science with 15 years; OR PhD with 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Identify CPI and determine when AT protections are required.
• Develop AT specifications and procedures to prevent exploitation.
• Support and maintain AT sections of the Program Protection Plan.
• Coordinate with SAF/IA, AT Evaluation Team, and other stakeholders for testing and fielding.
• Apply IA engineering to air-to-air and air-to-ground weapon systems per DoDI 5200.44 and 8500.01E.
• Identify mission-critical functions and implement risk-management early in design.
• Develop IA specifications and support audits and integration of secure components.
• Implement SCRM per DoDI 4140.01 and mitigate supply-chain risks.
• Prevent counterfeit materials and apply life-cycle controls to protect system integrity.
• Support development of SCRM strategies for quality, supplier reliability, and disruptions.
• Support PIT and PIT-IA engineering for embedded systems.
• Apply PIT Security Control Assessor processes.
• Ensure secure interconnections with NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and JWICS, including cross-domain considerations.
• Support encryption solution design for weapon-system security.
• Provide RMF-aligned engineering for assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring.

Job description

DCS has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Acquisition Program Engineer - Systems Security at Eglin AFB. You'll be the guardian of the Air Force's most advanced systems, locking down classified tech, shaping cybersecurity defenses, and keeping mission-critical programs safe from threats.

Essential Job Functions:

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Identify and assess Critical Program Information (CPI) and determine when AT protections are required.
• Develop AT specifications and procedures that prevent or delay exploitation of critical technologies.
• Support and maintain AT sections of the Program Protection Plan.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders (e.g., SAF/IA, AT Evaluation Team, Weapons AO, OSI/PJ, 48 CTS) to enable compliant testing and fielding.
• Apply IA engineering to air-to-air and air-to-ground weapon systems in accordance with DoDI 5200.44 and DoDI 8500.01E.
• Identify missions-critical functions and critical components and implement risk-management practices early in system design.
• Develop IA specifications and support audits, assessments, and integration of secure components.
• Implement SCRM per DoDI 4140.01, including identifying and mitigating internal and external supply-chain risks.
• Prevent introduction of counterfeit materials and apply life-cycle controls to protect system integrity.
• Support development of SCRM strategies for quality, supplier reliability, natural disasters, demand shifts, and global disruptions.
• Support PIT and PIT-IA engineering for mission-critical embedded systems.
• Apply AFLCMC's PIT Security Control Assessor (SCA) processes.
• Ensure secure interconnections with NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and JWICS, including configuration and cross-domain considerations.
• Support design and implementation of encryption solutions for weapon-system security.
• Provide RMF-aligned engineering support for assessment, authorization, and continuous-monitoring activities.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, US Citizenship is required.

Active TS/SCI security clearance

Bachelor of Science degree in related discipline and 20 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science degree in related discipline and 15 years of relevant experience; OR PhD in related discipline and 5 years of relevant experience.

Desired Skills:

• Undergraduate and/or graduate engineering degree from a college or university with anAccreditationBoardofEngineeringandTechnology(ABET)accredited engineering program.
• Experience with armament systems (air-to-air, air-to-surface munitions, missiles, or related systems).
• Knowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle processes and DoDI 5200.44, 8500.01E, and 4140.01.

Desired Technical Skills:

• Experience with Critical Program Information (CPI) and Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and procedures.
