Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a well-qualified Systems Security Engineer II (P2) to join our SSE team in developing security solutions to protect the Warfighter’s technology advantage. This onsite role emphasizes cybersecurity analysis, secure configuration validation, and integration of RMF controls.

Candidates must have a STEM degree, 2 years of relevant experience, and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 2 years of relevant experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
Experience in System Security Engineering, cybersecurity or embedded security.
Experience with RMF/ATO processes and DoD security guidelines.
SSE lifecycle experience and team collaboration skills.
Linux Bash and Python scripting experience.
DoD 8570/8140 certifications such as CISSP, GSLC, CEH are a plus.
Excellent communication and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

Perform analysis on cybersecurity data and test results.
Create patch artifacts and perform regression tests on the system.
Validate secure configurations of routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and OS using DoD tools.
Create and maintain Linux Bash and Python scripts.
