Job summary

Synectic Solutions, Inc. seeks a Journeyman System Security Engineer (SSE) to support the PMA-268 Unmanned Carrier Aviation Program Office at Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

The role requires US citizenship with an active Secret clearance, a technical BS/BA, and 7+ years of cyber experience in a DoD environment. You will lead cybersecurity activities, develop security requirements, and coordinate with IPT leadership to ensure secure program execution.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with Active Secret Clearance.
• Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of cyber-related experience in a DoD environment is highly desired.
• Program office experience highly desired.
• Aviation engineering experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to PMA-268 Cyber Leads in execution of the PMA-268 Cybersecurity Program.
• Lead product specific System Security Engineering activities for all systems within scope of IPT.
• Lead Critical Program Information (CPI) assessments.
• Understand vulnerabilities and attack vectors that can impact the cyber posture of the systems/environment.
• Identify and recommend security solutions to PMA-268 Cyber Leads.
• Lead DFIA implementation through definition of enclaves and enclave boundary protection requirements.
• Lead system security certification and registration activities (CSfC, CDS, Cryptographic Modules).
• Lead IPT cybersecurity activities and coordinate with stakeholders on actions and RFIs.
