Job summary

The Library of Virginia is seeking a Systems Security Analyst to protect information systems, networks, cloud environments and data assets. You will review security monitoring procedures, examine logs, and respond to incidents while partnering with technical and non-technical staff.

This role supports disaster recovery planning, cybersecurity training, and governance improvements in a historic state agency with a forward-looking security program. Experience with MS 365/Azure is desired.

Qualifications

• Experience with cybersecurity principles, frameworks and state/federal standards.
• Experience coordinating vulnerability scans, incident response and risk management programs.
• Ability to develop IT security policies, procedures and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide security design guidance for agency projects and participate in DR/BC planning.
• Assist in cybersecurity training and governance improvements; monitor and respond to security events.
• Coordinate remediation with system admins, developers, vendors and stakeholders; assist audit responses.
