Job summary

Systems-in-Motion seeks a Full Time Professional in Elgin, IL for a Systems Project Engineering role. You will analyze equipment against required functions, develop SOWs, document specifications, and coordinate with vendors to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities include designing with mechanical, electrical, and controls teams, preparing drawings for approvals, and mentoring junior staff while maintaining schedules and budgets. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BSME Mechanical Engineering or BSEE Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years with a conveyor manufacturer and/or systems integrator.
• Valid Driver’s License; PMP, PE or other certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed analysis for equipment sold against desired function while maintaining scope and budget.
• Develop detailed SOWs (mechanical, electrical, controls, and WCS functionality).
• Document final engineered specifications to ensure successful implementation.
• Select vendors, define and document intended use.
• Prepare detailed drawing packages for approval, permits, and installation.
• Coordinate with vendors on project needs and deliverables; support PM group.
