The Systems Project Consultant on the database team at the Department of Business and Professional Regulation analyzes systems and applications to design database structures meeting business needs. The role assists with database development, application design, maintenance, user permissions, code migration, and provides technical support to developers and project managers. The incumbent creates system documentation, reports, and dashboards while participating in 24-hour on-call emergency support rotation.

Key qualifications:

• Knowledge of or ability to learn SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL and relational database theory
• Experience with Oracle 19c, SQL Server 2019, and database administration tools such as Toad and Oracle Enterprise Manager
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with effective verbal and written communication
• Ability to architect system design documentation and manage concurrent tasks
• Bachelor's degree in computer-related field or Associate's degree with two years IT experience
• Preferred experience with data visualization tools such as Qlik and business analysis
