Job summary

Qualifications

• Candidate must have strong Voice over IP technical support and Architecture experience.
• Experience in network and telecommunications design and implementation.
• Thorough understanding of telephony technologies including PBX, IVR, Voicemail, Call Centers, CTI and Enterprise Voice Systems.
• Working experience with enterprise video communication solutions such as Cisco WebEx.

• Knowledge of networking equipment and TCP/IP (routers, switches and gateways).
• Experience coordinating and maintaining telecommunications service contracts and maintenance agreements.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Systems Programmer III reports to the Network Systems Administrator and is a member of the Telecommunications Services team. This position operates as a technical team lead which is focused on the planning, design, monitoring, integration, administration, configuration and management of the Voice Communication Systems, Video Communication Systems and other related systems which support the Department's business needs and mission.

Job Related Requirements

• The position you are applying is subject to a Level 2 background check, along with Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) clearance, to include a fingerprint-based check of the criminal records of the FBI, as a condition of employment pursuant to Chapter 110.1127, 435 and 943, Florida Statutes. Please note that, since this position requires CJIS clearance, the Department will have access to all an applicant’s criminal and juvenile delinquency records, even those that have been sealed or expunged.
• Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., although working after hours and on weekends may occasionally be required.

General Information

• The state of Florida hires only U.S. citizens and lawfully authorized alien workers. • FLHSMV employees are paid once a month on the last workday of each month. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
