JOB SUMMARY:

The Systems Programmer I position is in the Information System Program on the Service Maintenance team. This is work providing technical assistance to computer systems and users. The selected applicant will work with users and technicians to install and maintain SAP software and hardware, batch job scheduling software and hardware, SFTP application, and other related software and hardware as needed. This position creates and maintains flowcharts and documentation and is able to follow the ITSM (Information Technology Service Management) process. This is a mission critical position and may provide on-call support on weekly rotations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Two years of Service Desk or IT support related to computer systems hardware and software. *
  • Two years of work-related IT experience in support of Systems Administration with experience in server maintenance, patching, and the ITSM process.
  • Two years of demonstrated proficiency in server hardware and application software installation and troubleshooting, to include navigating system logs and leading meetings.
  • One year of experience in change management, problem resolution, continuous improvement of ITSM processes, and effective communication verbally and written to discuss services that impact stakeholders.

SUBSTITUTIONS:
  • * A bachelor's degree in computer science or closely related area of study can be substituted for the required years of experience on a year-for-year basis.

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • The tentative salary for this position is $54,072.12 annually.
