Prosum invites an experienced Systems Programmer Analyst to join our Information Technology team in Pasadena. You will analyze business and system needs, translate requirements into clear specs, and support enterprise systems across development, testing, and production support.

The ideal candidate has strong SQL skills, mainframe migration experience, COBOL/JCL/CICS/DB2 knowledge, and a collaborative, detail-driven mindset capable of communicating with both technical and non-technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field.
• 3+ years in IT with systems analysis, requirements docs, data analysis, SQL development.
• Direct mainframe migration experience required.
• Strong COBOL/JCL/CICS/DB2 analysis skills; hands-on COBOL preferred.
• Experience with impact assessments, data comparisons, and parallel-run validation.
• Familiarity with AI tools and ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to gather requirements, analyze processes, document specs, and coordinate stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and system needs and translate to specs.
• Perform systems analysis across apps, DBs, batch jobs, reports and processes.
• Develop, optimize and validate complex SQL queries and scripts.
• Analyze data models, mappings, and application logic for reporting and integrations.
• Create and maintain requirements docs, test scenarios, and validation results.
• Collaborate with users, developers, DBAs, QA, and architects to deliver changes.
• Support development and testing by reviewing logic and creating test data.
• Troubleshoot data issues with clear root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Support production deployments, post-deployment validation, and transitions.
• Assist with modernization initiatives and parity/validation automation.
• Help parallel-run and cut-over activities; communicate findings clearly.
