Job summary

Philips is seeking a Systems Product Industrialization Engineer to help design for manufacturability and launch ultrasound production lines. You will partner with R&D to optimize product designs for manufacturability and assembly, lead DFx inputs, and resolve production issues via root-cause analysis.

You will drive PFMEA, process validation, and release documentation, while collaborating across engineering teams to meet customer requirements and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Experience applying design for manufacturability principles.
  • Knowledge of Lean methods and SPC for process improvement.

In this role, you will drive design for manufacturability into product requirements and design, while developing and launching new Ultrasound System production lines.**Your role:*** Partner with R&D teams to optimize new product designs for manufacturability and assembly.* Provide technical support and root cause analysis to resolve production floor issues, including yield challenges and nonconforming product.* Identify, analyze, and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies.* Collaborate across engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle—planning, design, review, implementation, testing, and delivery—ensuring customer requirements are met.* Lead the creation and maintenance of documentation for production release, including process requirements, DfX, PFMEA, process validation, manufacturing control plans, and work instructions.**You're the right fit if:*** You have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.* Working knowledge of supply chain/manufacturing principles; implementation of Design for Excellence (DfX) inputs to designs; and knowledge of Statistical Methods (Process Capability, SPC, Trend Analysis)* You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.* You possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.**How we work together**We believe that we are better together than apart. In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
