Shinkei Systems is pioneering technology to deliver the highest-quality seafood at scale. We’re seeking a Mechanical Engineer to sit at the intersection of fish biology research, engineering, and real-world operations.

You will own the design and integration of electromechanical systems, from initial concept through build, test, and deployment in commercial processing plants. This full-time, in-person role is based in our El Segundo office, with approximately 10–20% travel.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Physical prototyping background required.
• CAD skills and fabrication experience essential.
• Experience with robotics and embedded systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Electro-mechanical design, sensor integration, data processing, hands-on testing and validation.
• Blank sheet mechanism design.
• Collaborate in a cross-functional team with controls, mechanical design, software, and ML engineers.
