Job summary

Viking is seeking a Systems Operator in Caledonia, MI to monitor and optimize sprinkler production. Responsibilities include fault diagnosis on HMI screens, coordinating with Maintenance Technicians, and assisting the cell crew to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 1–3 years of related experience, with occasional lifting up to 40 lbs and forklift handling as part of daily duties. This is a full-time, on-site position in Michigan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1–3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Willingness to perform maintenance tasks and lift up to 40 lbs (occasionally) and 25 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Review faults on HMI screens and follow proper steps for quick fault recovery.
• Communicate issues with Maintenance Technicians.
• Rotate through the assembly cell and assist team members as needed.
• Perform all aspects of the cell including maintenance to optimize production.
• Change tooling using hand tools and set up for various part runs.
• Test sprinklers according to approval laboratory guidelines.
• Set up, adjust and qualify automated equipment and perform all aspects of operation.
• Visually inspect and listen to machines to locate malfunctions.
• Inspect and package sprinklers to Viking quality standards.
• Complete all necessary documents for Quality system and production planning.

# Systems OperatorMI Caledonia - Caledonia, MI 49316## OverviewSalary Range$21.00 - $24.00 HourlyPosition TypeFull TimeJob ShiftAnyEducation LevelHigh School/GEDTravel PercentageNoneCategoryManufacturing## Description**RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Review faults on HMI screens and follow proper steps for quick fault recovery* Communicates with Maintenance Technicians to convey issues with the equipment.* Rotates throughout the assembly and assists each member of the cell when needed.* Performs all aspects of the cell including maintenance to optimize and maintain optimum production.* Changes tooling using hand tools and set up for various part runs.* Handles and pulls any materials necessary for the cell, including some fork truck operation.* Tests sprinklers according to approval laboratory guidelines.* Sets up, adjusts and qualifies automated equipment and perform all aspects* Visually inspect and listen to machine to locate malfunctions.* Inspects and packages sprinklers to Viking quality standards.* Completes all necessary documents for both the Quality system and for production planning.* Disassembles sprinklers and its components for salvage of parts.* Identifies scrap and salvage and records such for inventory purposes.* Cleans and maintains cell daily.* Lift up to 40lbs on occasion and 25lbs on a regular basis.* Performs other duties as assigned.## Qualifications**EXPERIENCE:** High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
