Job summary

SGS Consulting seeks a data analyst specialized in simulation and modeling to develop and integrate system simulation frameworks, performance models, and threat models. You will work on software that simulates user and system behavior, build GUIs, and provide decision support for alternative architectures.

Applicants should have strong MATLAB experience, Linux/Unix proficiency, and a background in RF analysis and ballistic missile studies. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; master's degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of data analysis experience using MATLAB.
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• GUI development experience.
• Strong modeling, simulation and trade studies experience.
• Background in RF analysis.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with ballistic missile analysis is desirable.
• MATLAB signal processing techniques (FFT, filters) preferred.

Job Responsibilities

Develops new and/or integrates existing system simulation frameworks, performance models and algorithms, threat models and command and control models. Develops software that simulates behavior of users and systems. Develops, integrates and uses graphical user interfaces and visualization tools. Models operational environments, performs trade studies via computer simulation and provides decision support for alternative architectures. Performs operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis. May build and design training models.
