Silvercote – Systems Machine Operator/Production Associate

Objective

Within our Silvercote business, the role of Production Associate is to safely produce a quality product according to the guidelines of a customer’s work order in a team environment with other operators. This role requires cross training on various aspects of a lamination machine’s operation, and it is vital to the success of our business, as Production Associates are ensuring that our customers’ orders are correct and undamaged.

Essential Job Functions

• Follow documentation procedures on all system orders including production reporting and quality test samples
• Machine setup, fabric welding, fabric changes, machine start up and shut down
• Organization and time management to stay in line with daily production goals
• Ability to stage orders for production including pull tables and order building
• Ensure outlined quality standards of each order are satisfied to meet customer expectations
• Maintain equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance
• Use of a variety of hand tools, as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, report any issues/concerns to management
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures
• Recognize substandard product and perform corrective actions
• Performing general house-keeping responsibilities
• Participate in training other employees on current company certification items
• Cross-training with material handler to help build the strongest team possible
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Minimum of 1-year experience in a manufacturing work environment
• Proven track record of good attendance and being on time according to work schedule
  
  

Physical Requirements

The work is performed in non-climate controlled environment with moderate noise level. This job frequently requires the employee to stand; walk; sit; use hands; climb stairs; climb portable ladders to heights of up to 15 ft.; balance; stoop; kneel; push; pull; reach overhead; read; talk or hear. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
