Job summary

Cornerstone Defense LLC in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Systems IT Engineer to deliver IT and cyber-systems security support for the AEHF system database, flight software, and testing tools on-site at the LockheedMartin Sunnyvale campus. Must maintain the digital ecosystem across production and testing environments for efficiency, security, and reliability.

Require active DoD Secret clearance (final Top Secret possible) and Security+ certification; 100% on-site work and a 9x80A schedule.

Qualifications

• Must hold Active Final DoD Secret security clearance (future Top-Secret may be required).
• Security+ certification required.

Responsibilities

• Linux/UNIX system administration: deploy, configure, harden, troubleshoot, and disaster-recovery support (NetBackup/Veeam).
• Storage management: install, secure, and monitor NetApp or NAS/SAN solutions.
• Cyber-compliance: apply STIGs, manage patches/upgrades, perform trusted downloads, RMF-based compliance.
• Change and asset management: execute changes using change-management tools and maintain asset inventories.
• Operational support: work on-site during day-shift hours; provide after-hours support when needed.
• Collaboration and knowledge sharing: lead best-practice discussions, mentor peers, coordinate with teams to resolve issues.

Position Overview:

Will deliver IT and cyber-systems security support for the COOLR program’s AEHF System Database (ASDB), Flight Software (FSW), and Network AEHF System Testbed-Tools (NAST-T) at the LockheedMartin Sunnyvale, CA campus.

Responsible for maintaining the digital ecosystem across production and testing environments, ensuring all systems remain efficient, secure, and reliable.
