Asplundh Engineering Services (AES) Ambler is seeking an engineer/designer to design and program SCADA and PLC-based control systems, draft wiring diagrams in AutoCAD, and assist with field wiring concepts. You will collaborate with clients, sales teams, and engineers to coordinate project designs and ensure successful implementation across projects.
The role expects strong communication skills, a BS in a related field, and 1+ years in systems integration or 2+ years as a Controls Designer.

AES‑Ambler’s in‑house panel shop allows custom control design/build manufacturing. We have been delivering reliable design of complex electrical systems for over 20 years and are a pioneer in the development of engineering and controls automation.

Anticipated travel for this role is 25% to 50% including overnight stays and local day travel. You will be responsible for providing your own transportation to and from the office and job sites. You will be reimbursed for business expenses such as tolls, parking and business‑related mileage at a rate allowable by government standards. Expenses incurred traveling to and from the office are excluded from reimbursement.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
