Job summary

Apscareerportal is seeking an experienced, full-time Systems Integration Technician for its Huntsville office. This mid-level role focuses on designing, troubleshooting, and enhancing aircraft modifications for both commercial and military operators.

The ideal candidate will have extensive avionics and electrical system experience, be capable of working with a cross-disciplinary team, and be willing to travel as needed to support installations and testing across sites.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years avionics and electrical wiring experience.
  • High school diploma required.
  • U.S. citizen with DoD Secret clearance or higher.
  • Ability to manage time across several programs.
  • Willingness to travel CONUS/OCONUS up to 10%.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
  • Experience with IPC standards (J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620).

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, design, and implement electrical systems for military and commercial customers with engineers and PMs.
  • Provide offsite and onsite installation and support of electrical systems.
  • Perform quality inspections and functional testing of electronic components and assemblies.
  • Collaborate with engineers to resolve issues during testing and production.
  • Build cables, wire harnesses, and electrical assemblies from orders and drawings.
  • Occasionally travel to hangars, bases, and customer sites for system integration.

Our client is currently seeking an experienced, full-time Systems Integration Technician for their Huntsville office location. This is a mid-level position in which the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, troubleshooting, and enhancing aircraft modifications for commercial and military organizations. This position requires someone interested and well-versed in avionics and electrical systems for various aircraft.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with a team of Electrical and Design Engineers and PMs to troubleshoot, design, and implement electrical systems supporting various military and commercial customers.
  • Provide offsite and onsite assistance and installation of electrical systems.
  • Perform quality inspections and functional testing of electronic components and assemblies to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers to identify and resolve issues during testing and production.
  • Build cables, wire harnesses, and related electrical assemblies from manufacturing orders, drawings, engineering changes, customer specifications, and process instructions.
  • Occasionally travel to hangars, bases, and customer sites to facilitate successful system integration of mechanical and electrical systems and provide assistance to Project Managers at onsite locations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in avionics and electrical wiring systems.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma.
  • Ability to effectively manage time over several programs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work proficiently with remotely located employees as well as in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to travel CONUS and OCONUS (no more than 10% of the time).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Working knowledge of IPC standards, including J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and IPC-A-620.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must currently possess an active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Current or previous IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification.
  • J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 certification.
  • AutoCAD Electrical experience is a plus.
  • Interest in aviation airframe modifications is recommended.
  • A&P certification or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • DoD or Military background is a plus.
