Job description

Role Description

Actively manage enterprise computer systems and networks, analyzing technical issues, and developing and implementing corrective actions. Observe and interpret visual outputs indicating the operating status of systems and network components for designated computer network infrastructure. Translate user requests into technical diagnoses, then apply diagnoses to develop technical solutions to meet user needs. Develop strategies to migrate existing customers to new architecture/technology with minimal impact. Evaluate new technologies or equipment that can be added to Agency standard solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• To be eligible for this position you must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Must have experience in network or system administration. Strong Linux experience. Experience in systems/network administration, application administration, and/or information technology support or management. Experience supporting hardware installation, such as servers and network infrastructure. Experience setting up storage such as network‑attached storage. Experience implementing security best practices to include PKI certificate generation, deployment and maintenance. Knowledge of Unix shell scripting languages like Bash, Bourne, or C.
• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent. Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Tier 1 certification.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Experience deploying and maintaining nginx. Familiarity with Docker and RedHat Satellite. Familiarity with cloud computing environments like AWS.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products like Terraform, SALT and Ansible as well as system monitoring platforms like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience with SELinix and FIPS.

Pay Rate

In compliance with Maryland's Equal Pay for Equal Work law, the annual base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $165,000. This range represents the base pay for this role and is provided in accordance with Maryland's requirements to disclose compensation in job postings. Please note that actual compensation may vary based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's qualifications, experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market conditions. In addition to base salary, candidates hired into this position may be eligible for a hiring bonus of $10,000.00, subject to applicable contingencies and Navstar policy.
