Vantor is seeking a senior Systems Engineer to lead the integration of space-based remote sensing and environmental monitoring capabilities. You’ll develop system integration plans for space and ground segments, coordinating across contractors and government customers.

This role requires 10+ years in systems engineering, satellite program experience, and a Secret clearance; on-site presence 2–3 days per week in California, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

At Vantor, you’ll work with the U.S. Space Force and our teammates as part of the effort to develop and rapidly deploy the next generation of resilient Missile Warning (MW), Tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (TISR), and Environmental Monitoring (EM) capabilities to deter attacks and provide critical information to our warfighters to defeat our enemies in battle. Within this role, you’ll work to develop and deploy the next generation of Environmental Monitoring (EM) capabilities to deliver critical information to our warfighters. Your client will trust you to develop and execute system integration plans for space and ground systems. You will lead and support integration activities at the system of systems, system, segment, and element level. You will grow your skills by researching new requirements, technologies, and threats and using innovative integration methodologies and tools to integrate remote sensing systems to deliver warfighter capabilities. Your functional expertise, communication and collaboration skills, and attention to detail will be vital as you contribute to the acquisition and development of space sensing capabilities. Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience performing systems engineering, integration, and testing for space-based remote sensing systems
• Experience working on satellite programs
• Experience with requirements development or verification
• Experience with interface control document development or governance
• Knowledge of a program critical path, EVM, technical performance measures, technical specifications, and test reports from multiple contractors, and offering solutions for schedule, cost, and risk issues
• Knowledge of government contracts and reporting systems to extract data and analyze future performance trends
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, CS, or Physics

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with space-based Environmental Monitoring
• Experience in Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), defense weather, and tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission areas
• Experience with remote sensing payloads, space-based weather payloads, satellite busses, and satellite subsystems, including propulsion, thermal control, power, attitude control, Telemetry, Timing, and Control (TT&C), communications, data processing, and structure
• Knowledge of DoD 5000.01 or 5000.02 TS/SCI clearance
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or CS
• INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certifications such as ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP Certification
• DAWIA Level III Program Manager or Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) Program Management Level III Certification
• Clearance: Secret
• The position will require at least 2-3x per week on site. Meetings/schedules may require more days on site.

Pay Transparency

To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidate’s experience, expertise, and alignment with the role.

The base pay for this position within California is: $147,000.00 - $196,000.00 - $215,600.00 annually. For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
