Job summary

Benchmark is hiring for a manufacturing/production role in Rochester, MN. You will prepare products for systems level assembly, unpack, set up and label components, and ensure quality and traceability throughout the process.

• 1+ years of experience in basic SI assembly.
• Good component recognition skills.
• Understanding of basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Access paperwork and necessary drawings for each job assignment.
• Verify kits, enter Batch lot information, package and label items accordingly.
• Use appropriate mats and required tooling.
• Check equipment (torque wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) for proper performance.
• Follow manufacturing routings and process instructions under supervision.
• May assemble various systems integration subassemblies.
• Notify leadership of any shutdown situations.
• Enter data into Process Feedback System and link subassemblies to final unit.
• Enter quantities into Operations Complete when required.
• Ensure quality meets customer expectations; support BEI standards.
• Mellor mentor and assist lesser qualified operators.
• Build subassemblies and apply labels per instructions.
• Perform system integration hand solder and inspection per instructions.
• Perform F-cert to ensure final units pass required operations.
• Inspect final unit for defects and clean surface as needed.
• Add user manuals, accessory packs, cables, labels, etc.
• Assist manufacturing engineering in prototype/pre-production builds.
• Operate under moderate supervision; mentor coworkers.
