Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the U.S. Space Force OTTI, providing systems engineering and integration across multiple mission areas.

You will translate operational needs into executable technical solutions while collaborating with Government customers from the Colorado Springs location. Responsibilities include requirements management, documentation, trade studies, and coordination with Government, FFRDC, UARC, and industry partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of systems engineering experience for DoD or federal programs.
• Experience with lifecycle processes and requirements development.
• Experience with technical integration across multiple organizations.
• Ability to work directly with Government customers on technical solutions.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret and SSBI/T5 background investigations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and manage system requirements across the engineering lifecycle.
• Support requirements decomposition, traceability, verification planning, and configuration management.
• Coordinate activities across Government, FFRDC, UARC, and industry partners.
• Prepare engineering documentation including SE Plans, ICDs, requirements docs, and VCMs.
• Participate in design reviews, technical interchanges, and working groups.
• Conduct trade studies, risk analyses, and support baseline management.
• Assist with integration planning, system verification, and transition activities.
• Prepare executive briefings and decision-support materials.
• Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.

Description SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the U.S. Space Force Operational Test and Training Infrastructure (OTTI) enterprise. You will provide systems engineering and technical integration support across multiple mission areas including requirements development, systems integration, test planning, technical baseline management, and stakeholder coordination supporting enterprise modernization efforts. If you are analytical, collaborative, and comfortable working directly with Government customers to translate operational needs into executable technical solutions this could be the job for you. Working in our Colorado Springs Garden of the Gods location.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and manage system requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle.
• Support requirements decomposition, traceability, verification planning, and configuration management.
• Coordinate technical activities across Government, FFRDC, UARC, and industry partners.

• Coordinate with program managers, chief engineers, and operational stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Support enterprise systems engineering efforts across multiple Space Force mission areas.

This is you

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related technical discipline and 5 years of relative experience (4 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree).
• 5 years of systems engineering experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or Federal programs.
• Experience with systems engineering lifecycle processes.
• Experience developing or managing requirements.
• Experience supporting technical integration across multiple organizations.
• Experience developing engineering documentation and technical briefings.
• Experience working directly with Government customers.
• Must have a current active Secret Security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with in-scope SSBI/T5 background investigation and obtain and maintain Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Program accesses.

Target salary range $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
