RTX Corporation, a leader in aerospace and defense, seeks a Systems Engineering Tools Administrator to manage deployments, upgrades, and support for DOORS and Rational tools across programs. This onsite role offers opportunities to engage with programs implementing modern SE solutions.

You will collaborate with program engineers, apply engineering tool practices, develop solutions, and help migrate from legacy apps to current platforms. U.S.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent with 5+ years experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience in tools in two or more SE capability areas: Requirements and Test.
• Experience with Agile or Model Based Engineering practices, tools, and methods.
• Admin experience with Windows and Linux, with scripting/automation and troubleshooting.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

What You Will Do

• Manage deployments, upgrades and support for Systems Engineering tools including testing, data backups, compliance, tool integrations & configurations

• Apply technical expertise in Systems Engineering to engage with programs on the implementation of Systems Engineering solutions

• Deploy desktop Systems Engineering solutions to programs

• Identify, document, and champion best practices and improvements which help increase the efficiency of our software deployment and support

• Work with program Engineers to plan and implement migrations off legacy Systems Engineering applications to modern tools

• Develop technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience

• Experience in the application of engineering tools/solutions in two or more of the following Systems and Software Engineering capability areas: Requirements and Test

• Experience with Agile or Model Based Engineering practices, tools, and methods

• Admin experience with Windows and Linux, along with scripting / automation with the ability to troubleshoot / solve complex problems.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)

• Strong communication, presentation, and people skills with ability to interface with senior lead engineers and program management personnel

• Program experience in roles of increasing technical leadership and responsibility

• Detailed working knowledge of Requirements and Testing tools (i.e. IBM tooling — DOORS/DNG, Rational Publishing Engine and Rational Directory Server)

• Systems, Software, and IV&V Engineering Processes and Integrated Product Development Process (IPDP), best practices, and work instructions expertise

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
