Raytheon is seeking a Principal Specialist, Business Systems & Transformation focused on Systems Engineering tools administration. The role includes deploying and supporting DOORS/Rational based solutions, scripting automation, and collaborating with program engineers to modernize legacy applications.

With a requirement for U.S. citizenship, candidates should have a university degree (or higher) and several years of relevant experience in engineering tool environments, including MBSE practices.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience.
• Experience in the application of engineering tools/solutions in two or more of the following Systems and Software Engineering capability areas: Requirements and Test
• Experience with Agile or Model Based Engineering practices, tools, and methods
• Admin experience with Windows and Linux, along with scripting / automation with the ability to troubleshoot / solve complex problems.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

• Apply technical expertise in Systems Engineering to engage with programs on the implementation of Systems Engineering solutions

• Identify, document, and champion best practices and improvements which help increase the efficiency of our software deployment and support
• Work with program Engineers to plan and implement migrations off legacy Systems Engineering applications to modern tools
• Develop technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity

• Program experience in roles of increasing technical leadership and responsibility
• Detailed working knowledge of Requirements and Testing tools (i.e. IBM tooling – DOORS/DNG, Rational Publishing Engine and Rational Directory Server)
• Systems, Software, and IV&V Engineering Processes and Integrated Product Development Process (IPDP), best practices, and work instructions expertise

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
