Job summary

The VIOS Clinic is seeking a Systems Engineering Specialist to design, develop, test, and integrate complex hardware/software systems for RC-135 mission systems on ground and airborne platforms. Role Overview: This position is for a Systems Engineering Specialist supporting RC-135 mission systems, focusing on the design, development, testing, and integration of complex hardware/software systems on ground and airborne platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand RC-135 aircraft operations and mission system employment.
• Contribute to program completion by supporting requirements, design, testing, and integration efforts.
• Measure and communicate mission system performance criteria.
• Address end-user needs and concerns related to mission systems.
• Perform assigned duties and support standardization and evaluation processes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or graduate degree with 2+ years, or 8+ years of experience without a degree.
• Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) security clearance required.
• Familiarity with RC-135 operations, DataLink systems, tactical radios, and advanced test equipment is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, ability to interpret technical data, and capacity to work independently or in teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Class III flight physical.

The role supports transitioning service members through a SkillBridge internship, providing industry-specific training and experience to prepare for civilian careers in defense technology. Candidates must be eligible for security clearance and be U.S. citizens.
