Job summary

ALSO is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to lead requirements and feature development across our micromobility vehicle platforms. You will drive architecture, manage cross-functional collaboration, and ensure traceability from concept to validation.

Ideal candidates bring a BS/MS in EE/CS, 8+ years in systems engineering or embedded software, and strong knowledge of RTOS, embedded systems, and automotive protocols.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or embedded software.
• Understanding of RTOS.
• Experience with embedded systems.
• Automotive CAN/CAN FD/SPI protocols.
• Experience with JAMA or Polarion; MBSE.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and requirements development for a cross-functional micromobility platform.
• Interface between customers and ALSO leadership to translate product intent into system artifacts.
• Define and manage system, subsystem, and hardware requirements across domains.
• Ensure end-to-end traceability of stories, features, requirements, and test cases.
• Develop and maintain system architectures for distributed embedded controllers.
• Collaborate with software, electrical, design, product and UI/UX teams on CONOPS and validation.
• Develop state machines and power states for the platform.
• Support end-to-end feature validation across bench, HIL testing and vehicle bring-up.
