A leading technology company is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 2 to lead a team in a maritime electronic and information warfare environment. Qualifications

  • 8 years experience with Bachelor's, 6 years with Master's, or 4 years with PhD.
  • U.S. Citizenship and active DoD Secret Clearance required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with Radar/EW systems and systems engineering processes.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in people management or IPT leadership.
  • Strong technical leadership and hands-on experience in system integration, architecture, and testing.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with teams and leadership.

Responsibilities

Systems Engineering Manager 2

In this role, you will lead a team of engineers and subject matter experts within a complex maritime electronic and information warfare environment. You will balance functional management with hands‑on technical leadership, supporting multiple programs while fostering a culture of inclusion, engagement, and high performance. The position involves overseeing systems engineering processes, mentoring team members, and ensuring program deliverables meet rigorous technical standards. You will collaborate across cross‑functional teams to design, integrate, and test advanced systems, while contributing to proposal efforts and strategic planning. Accountabilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of 10–15 engineers and subject matter experts, providing guidance on career development and performance
  • Oversee adherence to systems engineering processes and manage staffing for program requirements
  • Participate directly in program execution, including system architecture, integration, and test activities
  • Develop and execute RF test plans and controlled experiments for complex hardware‑in‑loop and software‑in‑loop systems
  • Coordinate data collection, analysis, and troubleshooting across multiple test environments and facilities
  • Support proposal development, including technical and management volumes, basis of estimate, and review activities
  • Foster a culture of well‑being, inclusion, and engagement to maintain a high‑performing workforce
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience, Master’s with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years in STEM or related technical fields
  • U.S. Citizenship and active DoD Secret Clearance required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Radar/EW systems and systems engineering processes
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in people management or IPT leadership
  • Strong technical leadership and hands‑on experience in system integration, architecture, and testing

  • Preferred: Advanced degree, experience with high‑power RF systems, airborne/ground EW systems, RF modeling, simulation, and analysis
  • Familiarity with engineering tools such as MATLAB, C/C++, Java, Python, DOORS, Rhapsody, or Cameo
