Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Engineer II within Strategic Defense Solutions (SDS) – Survivable Airborne Operation Center (SAOC) System Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) Team. You will collaborate with experienced engineers to solve complex problems, support development and delivery of advanced communications solutions for national security, in a cross-functional agile environment with mentorship and training.

A current active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Must have an active U.S. government issued DoD Top-Secret SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and tools such as Magic Draw Cameo, Enterprise Architect, or similar resources using SysML.
  • Experience with software and system requirements development.
  • Ability to define requirement specifications and functional requirements.
  • Ability to perform modeling and simulation for system analysis.
  • Experience with system testing and validation.
  • Skilled in software validation processes.
  • Proficiency in Linux environments.
  • Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action Analysis
  • Experience with the AS9100 Certification Audit process.
  • Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of risk management practices.
  • Experience with document management practices.
  • Proficiency with Atlassian tools, including Confluence and Jira.
  • Strong oral communication skills.

As a Systems Engineer II within Strategic Defense Solutions (SDS) – Survivable Airborne Operation Center (SAOC) System Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) Team, you’ll collaborate with experienced engineers to solve complex problems, develop your technical skills, and contribute to systems that help keep our nation safe. You’ll support the development and delivery of advanced communication solutions that address critical customer and mission needs. We’ll provide the training, tools, and mentorship you need to succeed. This position requires a current/active United States TOP SECRET Security Clearance.

What You Will Do:
  • Perform in a cross-functional agile team.
  • Work in close coordination with a mentor using Collins Aerospace engineering processes.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
