Job summary

RTX in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a Systems Engineering Co-op to join the Systems Excellence Department. You will contribute to the product development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture to software integration, test, and sell-off.

You will collaborate with systems and software engineers, other disciplines, program leadership and customers, and gain exposure to Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and various RTX programs.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
• Experience with mechanical hardware documentation or drawing standards.
• Experience with Agile development, including project estimating, reporting, and backlog management.
• Experience in programming C/C++, Python, or other programming languages. Knowledgeable in Linux. Experience with DevSecOps/TDD/BDD; Security+.
• Experience with automated test scripting and automated data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in verification planning and execution and support cross-functional reviews.

What You Will Do

We are seeking a motivated and innovative Systems Engineering Co-op to join our Systems Excellence Department at our St. Petersburg, FL location. As a co-op, you will be instrumental in contributing to all phases of the product development lifecycle, including systems and software requirements, system architecture and design, software integration and test, simulation and test, integration and test, verification, and sell-off. Systems engineering is all about collaboration. Collaboration with other systems and software engineers on your team, collaboration with other engineering disciplines throughout design and development, and collaboration with program leadership and customers.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Experience in programming C/C++, Python, or other programming languages. Knowledgeable in Linux. Experience with DevSecOps/TDD/BDD; Security+.
• Experience with automated test scripting and automated data analysis.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
