Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a System Engineer to run the system control center and liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal system performance in a fast-paced environment in Irvine, California. You will lead CI projects, root-cause analysis and automate troubleshooting for robotic material handling systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or software engineering, CS, automation or related discipline; or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with automated systems.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens), ABB robotics, and software such as SQL, Linux and Python.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Experience assembling, operating and troubleshooting robotics and electro‑mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health of automated adapters, vertical lifts and robotic vehicles.
• Troubleshoot advanced system and operational issues.
• Backfill key on-site roles as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardisation of the warehouse automation solution.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to site teams.
• Document issues and collaborate with engineering to implement solutions.
• Train operators on systems including WMS and IT problems.
• Partner with operations and other departments to drive performance.
• Assist in escalation to support teams to resolve production-impacting problems.
• Ensure safety compliance within OSHA guidelines.
