Job summary

2HB Incorporated is seeking a Systems Engineer to support its government customer in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role involves documenting all phases of design, implementation, and maintenance for deploying new systems or upgrading current FS sites.

The ideal candidate has deep understanding of communications technologies, virtualization, and IT systems architecture, with experience in Windows/Linux environments, network integration, and cross-functional collaboration using JIRA and Confluence.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of communications technologies, virtualization, systems architecture, and IT infrastructure.
• Proficient in designing, interpreting, and modifying system and network drawings (Visio, Adobe).
• Expertise in system and network administration across Linux and Windows.
• Extensive experience in network/data processing system integration, hardware/software config, deployment, and sustainment.
• Understanding/experience in Cisco networking (routers, switches, security protocols).
• Experience with rack/stack installation, cabling, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and best practices.
• Ability to create detailed system documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams (JIRA and Confluence).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Document all phases of the design, implementation, and maintenance for deployments or upgrades of FS site systems.
• Draft preliminary design reviews and mission transition plans.
• Develop and maintain system documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using JIRA and Confluence.
• Support IT infrastructure and SIGINT platforms across Linux/Windows environments.
