Systems Engineer/Technician (Secret Clearance)

Position Summary

The Systems Engineer/Technician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Communications Data Link (CDL) systems in shipboard and shore lab environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform on‑site technical assists, Casualty Reporting (CASREP) support, and System Operational Verification Tests (SOVT) for multiple CDL systems
• Participate in integrated product teams and engineering/design reviews
• Assist design team in preparing, reviewing, analyzing, and modifying system designs and technical documents for CDL systems
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CDL systems including CDLMS, C2PS, CDLS, NTCDL, VIG, and JTIDS
• Facilitate training courses and update training curricula for CDL systems
• Construct, test, and integrate equipment racks for CDL systems
• Assist with engineering analysis and design solutions for obsolete hardware and produce documentation and drawings for production
• Perform testing, analysis, and troubleshooting of complex communications hardware for development or modification of C4I system components
• Design, install, integrate, and test complex communications systems
• Maintain documentation and configuration management for commercial and militarized equipment

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• U.S. citizenship
• Active Secret Clearance
• At least 6 years of experience with complex communications systems and equipment, or equivalent
• AA or BS degree or equivalent experience
• Certification at DoDINST 8570.01M IAT Level I preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
