Job summary

General Dynamics - IT (GDIT) seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to join a large-scale National Intelligence program onsite in Herndon, VA. You will analyze requirements, design system solutions, and document engineering designs using standard modeling and diagrams.

Requires a BA/BS and 5+ years in Systems Engineering, or 10+ years for Senior Principal, with an active TS/SCI clearance with poly and US citizenship. You will work in a fast-paced, secure environment supporting critical missions.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent required for Senior roles.
• 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience for Senior.
• 10+ years for Senior Principal.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mission and product requirements to design and document system solutions using engineering principles and technical design tools (e.g., models, diagrams, and specifications).
• Evaluate complex problems by reviewing related information, comparing alternative approaches, and selecting options based on cost/benefit and operational impact.
• Assesses how changes in conditions, operations, and environments affect system outcomes; apply deductive reasoning and structured pattern/sequence analysis to develop sound recommendations and support implementation of effective solutions.
