Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. (GDIT) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with TS/SCI clearance to support a high-sensitivity Intelligence program in Springfield, MO or nearby Arnold, MO.

The ideal candidate will think strategically about technology and business, and will coordinate across multiple contracts to deliver robust architecture and integration solutions. The role requires a decade of systems engineering experience in enterprise environments, strong documentation

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
• 10+ years as a systems engineer in complex, multi-site environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• IAT Level II certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Engineering and Project Integration staff to assess, document, and track program requirements.
• Develop artifacts and architectural documentation; integrate sources into a cohesive product.
• Assist in integration and testing of hardware/software components on a complex program.
• Produce architecture artifacts spanning technical, physical, and logical designs across contracts.
• Monitor service line communications for immediate needs throughout the day.
• Contribute to solutions development by coordinating with SMEs across contracts and service lanes.
• Manage assigned service tickets and coordinate closure as needed.

The engineering team is looking for a driven Senior Systems Engineer that can demonstrate an ability to think strategically about technology and business. The ideal candidate is self-aware, highly adaptive and motivated in becoming proficient in project coordination and communicating on multiple technologies.

What you will get to do

• Collaborate and support the Senior Engineering and Project Integration staff in assessing, documenting, and tracking existing and new program requirements
• Support the program by developing artifacts, architectural documentation, and integration of various sources into a cohesive product, preparation of graphical and narrative presentation
• Support the integration, and testing of specific components of hardware/software systems on a complex program
• Work and interact with engineers across multiple contracts to produce architecture artifacts that span technical, physical and logical designs supporting a portfolio of managed services
• Monitor service line communication channels for immediate needs throughout the day
• Support comprehensive solutions development by leveraging subject matter experts from across several contracts and service lanes to produce and document environments
• Managing assigned service tickets and coordinating closure as needed

Basic Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. Can sponsor for a polygraph
• Ten (10) years' experience as a Systems Engineer supporting complex, multi- site enterprise scale environments
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, etc) or equivalent experience
• Experience writing detailed, technical documentation
• IAT Level II certification required

Preferred Qualifications

• Accountability, ownership and a drive for continuous improvement (Industry Certs, Education etc.)
• Performing IT project integration related work to include the following:
  • Ability to present to internal & external leadership
  • Running project control gates, tracking tasks
  • Collaborating with different service lanes
• Data flow validation and manage interfaces with mission application service provider
• Producing technical diagrams with Microsoft Visio
• Using project tracking tools (i.e., Jira, Confluence, KanBan Boards)
• Adept at learning and applying new technologies - Keeping up to date on emerging technologies and tools will be encouraged and important
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills

• VMware Infrastructures and architectures, virtual networking, vROPS

• Enterprise Storage Systems (EMC (Unity, Isilon platforms)
• NetApp) Enterprise scale backup technologies
• DISA STIG Audits, hardening and remediation procedures
• Certification and Accreditation Experience
• Risk Management Frameworks
